Final Season Details
The fifth season of Star Trek: Lower Decks premieres with two episodes on Thursday, October 24, 2024, on Paramount+. Subsequent episodes from the 10-episode season will be released every Thursday, with the series finale airing on December 19, 2024.
In this final season, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is assigned to fix “space potholes” caused by subspace rifts. But what should be an easy task turns chaotic as Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and Rutherford encounter an Orion war, Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, and even murder mysteries—all while facing their own career aspirations and the possibility of being promoted out of the lower decks.
Star Trek: Lower Decks Legacy
Since its debut, Star Trek: Lower Decks has been a unique blend of comedy and adventure, focusing on the unsung support crew of one of Starfleet’s least important ships. The voice cast includes Dawnn Lewis, Jerry O’Connell, Fred Tatasciore, and Gillian Vigman as the ship’s bridge crew.
Produced by CBS Studios, Eye Animation Productions, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment, the animated series has been praised for its lighthearted take on the Star Trek universe. The final season promises to be a fitting tribute to the underdog crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos.
The Expanding Star Trek Universe
Fans can look forward to more Star Trek content on Paramount+, including the final season of Star Trek: Discovery, new episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the upcoming series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, and the original movie Star Trek: Section 31 starring Michelle Yeoh. Additionally, all seasons of Star Trek: Picard, starring Patrick Stewart, are available to stream on the platform.
