Spoiler Character Confirmed For MCU

I didn’t want to spoil the reveal in the title because it has to do with a certain character in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

So obvious spoilers follow.

Sony’s official casting list for Spider-Man: Homecoming reveals that Donald Glover is playing Aaron Davis, who in the comics is known as the Prowler and is also uncle to Ultimate Comics Spider-Man Miles Morales.

It’s revealed in Spider-Man: Homecoming that Donald Glover mentions his nephew; so Screen Crush asked Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige if that means Miles Morales is in the MCU:

“All of those little things are just Easter eggs for fans until they’re something more than that. But anything that’s happened in the books is potential material for us. In the meantime, I think Miles is a big part of the animated movie that Sony’s making. But where we go … we definitely want you to go “He’s there. He’s there somewhere.”

As we see, Kevin Feige does mention Sony is doing an animated Spider-Man movie starring Miles Morales (which isn’t a part of the MCU) so we can guess Miles Morales won’t be showing up any time soon in the MCU.

However, Feige does mention that Miles Morales is “there” in the MCU “somewhere,” so fans of the Miles Morales character can at least know he exists in the Avengers universe.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7th.
