Spider-Man Noir Live-Action Series

The Spider-Man Noir live-action TV series in development by Sony for Amazon Prime Video now has the showrunner of Marvel’s The Punisher that aired on Netflix.

It is reported Steve Lightfoot will serve as co-showrunner.

As announced back in February, Oren Uziel is the writer of the Spider-Man Noir series and will also serve as co-showrunner.

Steve Lightfoot is also known for Hannibal and Narcos, and I’ll say The Punisher Season 1 was really good. Not sure what happened with Season 2.

Oren Uziel is known for The Lost City, the recent Mortal Kombat movie, Shimmer Lake, and 22 Jump Street.

What is the Spider-Man Noir series about?

As previously reported, The as-of-yet untitled series is described as following an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City where the show is set in its own universe that involves an alternate Spider-Man character who is not Peter Parker.

The alternate version of Spider-Man emerges in a version of New York during the Great Depression.

Spider-Man Noir appeared in the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie voiced by Nicolas Cage.

Spider-Verse creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are also involved as executive producers of the TV series along with producer Amy Pascal.
