Spider-Man 4 May Have Its Black Cat With Madelyn Cline

Purrfect casting?!

Move over MJ and Zendaya, Spider-Man 4 may have found a new love interest for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, and it could be Black Cat!

Rumors have offered that a second female lead will be introduced in Spider-Man 4.

It makes sense, as at the end of No Way Home, everyone had forgotten about Peter — including MJ! So what’s a dude to do? Sit around like a simp and cope?! Nope. Get back in the game!

According to a new rumor, Spider-Man 4 may cast Madelyn Cline in an undisclosed role. The 26-year-old actress is known for Outer Banks, Glass Onion, This is the Night, and more.

The rumor comes via the DeuxMoi, which is an Instagram account that has 2.1 million followers and posts celebrity gossip.

So with MJ forgetting about Peter, it’s possible a new love interest could be introduced in Spider-Man 4.

In the comics, Black Cat is Felicia Hardy who was involved in a romantic relationship with Peter. Felicia first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 (1979). Initially, she was a thief, and her flirtatious nature attracted Spider-Man. Over time, their mutual attraction turned into a romantic relationship. However, Felicia was actually more enamored with “Spider-Man” and less interested in “Peter Parker.” She loved the excitement and danger of Spidey’s superhero identity, which caused tension between them. Felicia also often found herself at odds with Spider-Man’s moral code, which strained their relationship.

It could very well be possible that Spider-Man 4 sees Tom Holland as Spidey teaming up with Black Cat, possibly played by Madelyn Cline.

The untitled Spider-Man 4 has a July 26, 2026 release date. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing.
