Shazam Casting Continues & Billy Batson Is Not A D-Head Says Director

The Shazam! movie continues its casting as Ian Chen and Jovan Armand join the cast.

Deadline reports that Ian Chen will play Eugene, and that Jovan Armand will play Pedro, two friends of Billy Batson’s from a group home.

Shazam! director David F. Sandberg also took to Twitter to reply to fans’ statements about Billy Batson being a d-ckhead in the movie as he supposedly was in the New 52 DC Comics.

He’s not a huge dickhead.

Shazam! has an April 2019 release date and stars Zachary Levi as the title character, Asher Angel as Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, with Grace Fulton rumored in a role, and Mark Strong rumored as the villain.

Shazam! is written by Henry Gayden and Darren Lemke, with the movie focusing on the young Billy Batson who can transform into an adult superhero by uttering the magic word “Shazam!”
