Apple has officially renewed Severance for season three, following a record-breaking second season. The workplace thriller continues its run as one of the most talked-about shows on streaming, and the full first and second seasons are now available to watch on Apple TV+.
Lumon Industries Isnât Done Yet
Severance, created by Dan Erickson and directed by Ben Stiller, focuses on Mark Scout (played by Adam Scott) and a group of employees at Lumon Industries who undergo a procedure that separates their work and personal memories. In season two, Mark and his coworkers face consequences for breaking down the severance barrier, escalating the mystery behind their employer.
The show blends eerie corporate culture with psychological tension. While Apple hasnât announced a release date for season three, production is confirmed.
Cast and Creators React to Severance Season 3 Renewal

Cast and Creators Return
The main cast returns for the next chapter, including Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette.
New regulars Sarah Bock and Ălafur Darri Ălafsson joined in season two and are expected to continue.
Behind the scenes, Stiller directs five episodes in season three. Erickson continues as writer and executive producer alongside a large team that includes Scott and Arquette in dual roles as actors and producers.
Awards and Acclaim
Since debuting, Severance has earned widespread acclaim. Season one received 14 Emmy nominations and won awards for its music and title design. It also picked up Writers Guild and Screen Actors Guild nods. The show has been called one of the best series of the past decade.
Apple TV+ is using Severance as one of its flagship dramas, and the renewal signals continued investment in prestige programming.
