It’s not a good start to the week for Sony as yesterday saw Dan Aykroyd blast Ghostbusters director Paul Feig for messing up the movie.
Now Seth Rogen has his own blasting to do as he blasts Sony for their new “Cleaner Version” of movies that removes perceived violent content and mature language.
“Holy sh-t please don’t do this to our movies. Thanks,” Seth Rogen posted on Twitter.
The “Cleaner Versions” are meant for “family movie night.”
For example, in the “Cleaner Version” trailer below, when Spider-Man Andrew Garfield is shot by a shock-dart, it’s been cut from the “cleaner version.”
Sony currently has about 25 movies that are edited for a “Cleaner Version” including the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2, Ghostbusters, Goosebumps and more.
