Scott Eastwood Wants To Play Wolverine; Loves The Character

With Hugh Jackman retired from playing Wolverine (unless he comes back one more time with the Avengers!), fans have been casting who they think should be the next adamantium-wielding, berserker-raging mutie.

My pick is now gone as Tom Hardy is playing Venom.

Other fans have thrown out the name of Scott Eastwood, who had a small role in Suicide Squad and stars in the upcoming Pacific Rim Uprising movie.

Screen Rant caught up with Scott Eastwood and asked about potentially playing Wolverine.

“I love Wolverine. He’s one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. He’s a renegade. Total badass renegade. He’s kind of, you know, a loose cannon…doesn’t play by the rules…he’s the kind of character that I love,” Scott Eastwood offered.

Scott Eastwood is asked if he got the call to play Wolverine, would he tackle the job?

“100%,” Eastwood said.

Scott Eastwood wants to play Wolverine

Back in October saw Scott Eastwood first mention his desire to play Wolverine.

“Weapon X. I mean Logan! You gotta give it to Wolverine! Wolverine, all day,” Eastwood said.

Fox Studios has yet to announce who will play the new Wolverine and even when they will reintroduce the character.

Disney is planning on purchasing Fox Studios, which will take 12-18 months to go through, so it will be interesting to see if we get a new Wolverine in that time frame or when the X-Men return to Marvel Studios.

Maybe it’s a better question for Kevin Feige?
