Scary Movie 6 Tracking Suggests Young Audiences Are Showing Up

Scary Movie 6 may be one of the more interesting stories on the latest early tracking chart shared via Puck News and based on data from The Quorum.

As Matt Belloni noted, young people care about Scary Movie, and the numbers back that up.

The new chart gives Scary Movie 6 a 56 awareness score and a 53 interest score, making it one of the stronger titles in the group.

Scary Movie 6 Is Posting Strong Numbers

A 56 awareness score and 53 interest score put Scary Movie 6 near the top of the chart.

That is a good result for a comedy sequel, especially in a theatrical market where comedies have had a tougher time standing out than superhero movies, horror, or family brands.

Even with awareness down by 2 points and interest down by 1 over the previous two weeks, the movie is still holding a strong position.

Belloni’s Take Looks Right

Belloni’s comment that young people care about Scary Movie fits the data.

The brand still seems to have recognition, and audiences are responding more strongly than some might have expected for a revival of a parody franchise.

That is important because the movie does not need to play like a giant four-quadrant event to be a success. It just needs a younger audience to show up and treat it like a fun theatrical comedy.

Better Shape Than Some Bigger IP

What also stands out is that Scary Movie 6 is outperforming some larger franchise titles in this snapshot.

It is ahead of Mortal Kombat II in awareness and ahead of The Mandalorian & Grogu in both awareness and interest. That does not automatically translate to box office, but it does show real early traction.

For a title that might have been dismissed as nostalgia bait, these numbers say otherwise.

Release info

Scary Movie 6 gets released in theaters on June 5, 2026, directed by Michael Tiddes.
