Following the big success of Spider-Man: No Way Home featuring the return of Tobey Maguire, apparently there have been rumors a Spider-Man 4 could be possible ā and both Sam Raimi and Thomas Haden Church want the flick made.
Thomas Haden Church returned as Sandman in No Way Home and recently filled in CB.com that there are rumors of a Spider-Man 4, which would be the fourth film from the Spidey films from the 2000s.
āThereās always been some kind ofā¦Iāve heard rumorsā¦that Sam Raimi was going to do another [Spider-ManĀ movie] with Tobey [Maguire] and if that happens, I would probably campaign to maybe at least do a cameo,ā Church said.
Regarding what director Sam Raimi said, last year saw after directing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Raimi stated to Movie Pilot that he is completely open to returning for another Marvel film.
āIāve come to realize after makingĀ Doctor StrangeĀ that anything is possible, really anything in the Marvel universe, any team-ups,ā Raimi said. āI love Tobey. I love Kirsten Dunst. I think all things are possible. I donāt really have a story or a plan. I donāt know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I donāt know what their thoughts are about that. I havenāt really pursued that. But it sounds beautiful. Even if it wasnāt aĀ Spider-ManĀ movie, Iād love to work with Tobey again, in a different role.ā

Thomas Haden Church has heard Spider-Man 4 rumors
If Spider-Man 4 did get made, it would have to get greenlit by Sony who owns the film rights to Spider-Man, but since the Tom Holland movies have been so good under Kevin Feige, letās hope Feige and his MCU crew would also like to work on a fourth Tobey Maguire movie.
Following No Way Home, there was the thought that Andrew Garfield would return as Spidey in some way, but to date, nothing has been announced.
A fourth Spider-Man with Tom Holland set in the MCU is thought to be happening, and Sony has its separate Spidey spinoff universe with Venom, Kraven, Morbius, and Madame Web happening, in addition to the popular Spider-Verse animated movies.
