Rachel Zegler's New Project Flops Before It Opens – Empty Seats Everywhere

Following Disney’s Snow White absolutely bombing at the box office, Rachel Zegler’s next project looks like a big flop even before it opens.

Rachel Zegler, 23, is set to star as Eva Perón in Evita, a revival of the 1978 Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical (known for the iconic music score which includes “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”), directed by Jamie Lloyd. The show opens June 14 at the London Palladium and runs for 12 weeks.

Well, it turns out that similar to Snow White, nobody is buying tickets.

Ticket Sales Lag for Rachel Zegler’s Evita

In an article published by the Daily Mail titled “Rachel Zegler keeps a low profile as ‘woke’ Snow White disaster worsens,” it’s pointed out that her play hasn’t sold a lot of tickets:

However, one glance at the ticketing website reveals just how few seats have sold for the ambitious production opening in just two months.

Sure enough, checking the venue’s website, does show a lot of empty seats, as the Daily Mail adds:

June, July, August, and September are all awash in ‘green good’ availability despite tickets starting at just £29.50 inside the 2,286-seat venue.

The play doesn’t open for a couple of months, but again, with only a couple of thousand seats and ticket prices so cheap, it’s probably something to be concerned about.

Rachel Zegler's Snow White Facing $300M Loss As Box Office Implodes

What happened with Snow White?

Snow White is one of Disney’s biggest bombs ever, with a reported budget of nearly $300 million; it hasn’t even grossed $200 million after being in theaters for over a month.

As of Tuesday, the domestic box office for Snow White is only $85 million, and the foreign gross is at $109.4 million. The worldwide gross is at $194.5 million.

Disney’s Snow White bombing follows the controversial comments Rachel Zegler made about the original Snow White, her political comments about Palestine, and those against President Trump and his supporters.

Disney looks to lose, at least, over $100 million.
