PSN Back Up: PlayStation PS5, PS4, Affected

Update: The PSN network is back up. The official Ask PlayStation tweeted: “Network services have fully recovered from an operational issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank the community for their patience. All PlayStation Plus members will automatically receive an additional 5 days of service.”

The PlayStation Network is currently down and has been for hours which is affecting the PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and Web. It’s unknown when the PSN Network will be back up.

According to the PlayStation Network NETWORK SERVICE STATUS page, all services are down including Account Management, Gaming and Social, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation direct.

All the sub-services are also currently down including signing in, creating accounts, editing account details, game streaming, purchases, downloads, browsing, searching and redeeming vouchers.

Ask PlayStation response

The official Ask PlayStation account on X tweeted four hours ago, “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.

What is causing the PSN outage?

With PSN down, all users can do is wait until it’s back up. We’ll update with anything new from PlayStation and/or when the PSN goes back up. It’s currently unknown what is causing the outage.

Gamers have taken to X to complain as they can’t play their favorite games including Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, Helldivers 2, and more. See more below.

“Dear Rivals, Due to PlayStation server’s emergent issue today, PlayStation users might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features. We are actively communicating with the PlayStation team and will restore the game once we receive a solution plan from the PlayStation team,” tweeted the official Marvel Rivals account. “We apologize for any inconvenience and will notify the community through official channels once the issue is fixed. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Marvel Rivals Team.”
