Following Thor: Ragnarok and prior to The Avengers: Infinity War movie is the highly anticipated Black Panther film featuring an all-star cast (see below!).Â
MCU producer Nate Moore sets up the Black Panther movie for us as he fills in in the UKâs Complex:
Whatâs great is that people have already met Chadwick [Boseman] in Civil War, so now we get to jump in feet first without having to tell a more traditional origin story. We meet him as his world is changing. Black Panther takes place right after the events of Civil War, so TâChallaâs father has just been killed, he has returned home to Wakanda, and TâChalla has to navigate potentially becoming the new ruler of this nation. He never intended to become the king for years because he figured his dad would be around for a long time. TâChakaâs death is, in a lot of ways, the catalyst for everything thatâs happening in Black Panther.Â
A recently released new synopsis also offers details:
After the events of Marvelâs Captain America: Civil War, King TâChalla returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his countryâs new leader. However, TâChalla soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.

Black Panther has a February 16, 2018 release directed by Ryan Coogler starring Chadwick Boseman (âCaptain America: Civil War,â âGet on Upâ), Michael B.
