Superstar writer Mark Millar, known for Marvel’s Civil War, and Kick-Ass and Kingsman, approves of the casting.

“I actually really like this idea of a more masculine Reed. He’s typically been drawn more nerdy since the mid 80s, but I love that Action Man of Science vibe Kirby and Buscema brought in the early days. He’s the team leader so needs a strong jaw. I think Pedro will be great!” tweeted Millar. “Reed has grey hair. He should def be in his 40s, especially as Sue is mid 30s and his old pal Victor needs to be 40s to have the necessary gravitas. I think Pedro and Vanessa Kirby a very good start.”

Fantastic Four gets released on May 2, 2025 with Matt Shakman directing. Worth noting is that Pascal’s casting hasn’t been officially announced by Marvel. Also said to be up for roles includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Stranger Things actor Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as TheThing, with Javier Barden as Galactus. The story is also said to revolve around Sue Storm.
