Paul Giamatti Confirms Rhino For Amazing Spider-Man 3

While attending the Toronto Film Festival premiere of his latest movie Parkland, Paul Giamatti confirms he has signed on to Amazing Spider-Man 3.

Giamatti will first be seen as The Rhino in Amazing Spider-Man 2 next May, and now tells the Collider he will be featured in 2016, as well.

First, Giamatti mentions he was surprised by all the hype surrounding Amazing Spider-Man 2.

“I’m stunned at the level of interest actually. I was very surprised. I’ve never had the paparazzi guys running around on a set. I was like ‘seriously? what the hell you guys doing?’ I was very surprised. Yeah. I didn’t expect people to be that interested.”

On the Sinister Six in future movies:

“It seems like that kind of thing. They’ve not told me anything hard and fast about that.”

Confirms he signed a multi-picture deal:

“I did.”

Confirms Amazing Spider-Man 3, but not 4.

“I think I’m only doing the next movie. I don’t know if I am doing the next next movie.

It was also confirmed earlier that Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner are returning to write Amazing Spider-Man 3.

“Amazing Spider-Man 2” has a May 2, 2014 release; the third film premiers June 10, 2016, with the fourth on May 4, 2018.
