Tonight at the Oscars saw Warren Beatty given the wrong card, which saw Beatty proclaim La La Land as the Best Picture while presenting with Faye Dunaway.
As it was the wrong card, it turned out the Best Picture actually went to Moonlight, which saw all sorts of confusion on stage at tonight’s Oscars.
Warren Beatty was apparently accidentally given the card for Emma Stone’s Best Actress award. Beatty notes in the video below he was at first confused, which is why he took a second look, but Faye Dunaway read La La Land out loud anyway.
The Oscars producers ended up figuring out what went down and announced the Oscar for Best Picture to Moonlight, but not before the La La Land producers had already given their acceptance speech.
Jokes are already hitting social media that Donald Trump gets the last laugh after all.
