For fans (still?) hoping to see the Marvel TV characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seems you may have to make a deal with Mephisto to get it to happen, and then that still might not be enough.
The latest on the disconnect between Marvel TV and Marvel Studios comes from Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays the Marvel TV version of Kingpin on the Netflix Daredevil series.
"Me and my sons, we're suckers for all that stuff. I grew up reading these guys in comics. Mine were Captain America, Daredevil, Punisher. I'm not just saying Daredevil, I actually read all of the series. If Marvel closes their ears for a second, there's Batman, too," D'Onofrio told Digital Spy about being a big comic fan.
As Vincent D'Onofrio is a fan of the comics, of course he would like to crossover into the movies, but offers it isn't going to happen any time soon.
"I would love to switch over to the movies, but I think it's pretty much been said it's not going to happen," the Kingpin actor said. "Or at least not for a very, very long time. I think [Marvel Studios boss] Kevin Feige explained that, and that's what makes the most sense, he said the film universe is too jam-packed. It's hard enough already, and if they keep bringing big characters in that they have to service in the writing, it's not gonna work. They're trying to figure out already how to individualise more and at the same time keep The Avengers going. It makes sense not to mix the TV stuff, there's just too many characters."
While both sides of Marvel have been spinning the reason for Marvel Studios and Marvel TV not syncing up on being a timing issue, it actually has more to do with the fact that Marvel Studios and Marvel TV don't get along and are separate companies at Disney.
Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige doesn't get along with Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter who runs Marvel TV/Comics. Feige booted Perlmutter and Permlutter's Marvel TV/Comics creative committee (Buckley, Fine, Quesada, Bendis, Loeb) from being involved in the movies. Further evidence of this lies with the fact that Marvel TV is going forward with their IMAX Inhumans TV movie, which was originally a part of the MCU Phase 3 films, and IMAX officials were quick to come out and state it won't interfere with the Marvel movies.

Marvel Creative Comittee's Joe Quesda is now directing his own stuff (debuted with the digital Agents of SHIELD spinoff "Slingshot" series).
Most of the Marvel Studios characters (Avengers) have been vastly altered/replaced or are dead at Marvel Comics (along with Fox Studio X-Men characters).
James Gunn said Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are not connected.
Daredevil Charlie Cox said they could use a different Daredevil in the movies.
Agent Coulson is still dead in the MCU (none of the Avengers know he is alive).
I would even put it forth that the MCU is completely separate from Marvel TV (storywise — it doesn't all connect)
It's too bad Perlmutter and his goon squad are still in the mix at Marvel TV/Comics as it would be nice if the people in charge actually cared about the fans and the source material. Hopefully, Disney's Bob Iger takes notice one day and places Kevin Feige in charge of all of Marvel. For fans of the comics, that's our best hope as the "Axel Alonso" era at Marvel is probably one of the worst points in Marvel Comics history.
