No Aliens For Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Transformers 4 Getting Complete Re-Design

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:7275:]]As of late, we have learned two – corrections  – regarding the Michael Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

The first was last week when a new logo was unveiled for the movie which included “Teenage Mutant,” as it was previously said Bay was dropping that part of the title for simply “Ninja Turtles.”

The second comes today with Michael Bay stating that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will not be aliens, as was also previously stated to be the case.

“There was that quote saying that we’re making [the Ninja Turtles as] aliens. We’re not,” Bay clarifed to MovieFone. “It’s the ooze! It’s from the original source material. These are from the original writers, and I never went out to correct myself in the press. I do listen to the fans and I do want this to be authentic. I think they’re going to be really happy with this movie. When I see the digital stuff, the turtles look great.”

Bay also gives us an updated on Transformers 4, stating the robots will be getting a complete re-design.

“You know there are a couple of historians of Transformers. I would do my designs of the robots and they’re like, ‘What if you just add a little bit more ears to Optimus?’ But they’re really hands off,” Bay offered. “We’ve redesigned them in ‘Transformers 4,’ and there’s some really cool s-t in it. I’m literally redesigning every character, top to bottom. There’s a reason why they’re redesigned, but it’s also to keep it new and fresh to me. I think the fans will appreciate some of this new stuff we have in the movie and some of the new characters.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a June 6, 2014 release starring Megan Fox as April O’Neil.

Transformers 4 has a Summer 2014 release with Mark Walhberg as the lead.
