New Star Wars Animated Series In Development

New Star Wars Animated Series In Development

This past Monday saw the series finale of Star Wars Rebels air on TV,  but fret not as a new Star Wars animated series looks to be in development.

The executive producer of Star Wars Rebels, Dave Filoni, took to Twitter to thank the crew for their support, but noted they are not done.

“This is some of the crew that worked on #StarWarsRebels over the years,” Filoni said. “We wanted to thank you for all the support you have given us the last four seasons. Remember my friends, the Force will be with you, always. Now let us begin, again.”

As we see, Dave Filoni mentions that they are going to begin again, which references his statements from last year’s Star Wars Celebration that hinted at a new series as Filoni stressed that every generation of kids should have their own Star Wars cartoon to cherish.

While nothing has been officially announced as of yet, perhaps a new Star Wars animated series is being developed for the upcoming Disney streaming network?

Disney CEO Bob Iger did confirm that multiple new Star Wars series are in development, so hopefully it’s a cool new Star Wars animated series.
