New Rendel Images

Check out a batch of new images for theĀ first Scandinavian superhero movie,Ā Rendel, as filming has now reached the halfway point.

After 3 weeks of intense filming, Jesse Haaja, the director and creator of Rendel, is more than happy with the material.

ā€œAt this point of the production, the biggest positive thing is the high visual quality we’ve been able to achieve,ā€ says Haaja.

Before filming started, the movie received a remarkable boost in its production budget by the entry of Black Lion Pictures and Frozen Flame Pictures. As a result, basically the whole project was rebooted.

ā€œThanks to the increased budget we’re now able to do things we couldn’t include in our original plans,ā€ Haaja said. ā€œTo be honest, almost everything has changed. The only thing that remains untouched is the original story: Rendel will still be a dark tale of a man blinded by revenge. This is also the reason why we’ve removed the previously released teaser material from the web. The old material simply does not represent the quality of the upcoming movie anymore. Things are going to look so much better.ā€

We can expect to see new the Rendel material at the beginning of 2016.

ā€œRendelā€ has a 2016 release date.
