Shazam director David F. Sandberg is back on Instagram this time teasing Day 8 of preproduction featuring an image of the New 52 Shazam/Captain Marvel standing victorious over the original Captain Marvel.
The New 52 DC Comics saw Captain Marvel get a new costume and also be referred to as Shazam (Marvel has its own Captain Marvel, with a movie coming out as well).
The image also features more Coke Zero cans, additional images on the wall, possible villains for the movie with Mister Mind and Mister Atom; the magic tiger Mister Tawky Tawny is there, and also featured is an Annabelle Funko Pop! as Sandberg recently directed Annabelle: Creation.
Shazam looks to start filming at the start of the year for a 2019 release. No casting has been announced as of yet.
