And that is a wrap for Wednesday Season 2 as the Netflix show has finished filming in Ireland and with that comes a new image of Jenna Ortega as the titular character.
“The coffin has closed on Wednesday Season 2 production. Dying to show you what we’ve been up to in 2025!” teased the show’s social media accounts.
What is Wednesday Season 2 about?
No specific plot details are known about the season.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” showrunners and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar told Netflix’s Tudum.
In a Netflix video released back in 2023 discussing fan theories for Wednesday Season 2, Jenna Ortega and her co-stars explored possibilities while keeping the plot under wraps.
One theory suggests Crackstone’s ring, left behind after his defeat, could grant powers to whoever picks it up, with Eugene or Thing being potential candidates.
Another speculates that Wednesday may become the new Hyde master, hinted at by Tyler’s transformation as she passes him.
The cast also discussed whether Professor Weems, presumed dead in Season 1, could be alive in the form of Lurch, based on subtle visual clues. They confirmed that a new Addams Family member will appear in Season 2 but didn’t reveal who.
