Netflix has released a new trailer for Wednesday Season 2 and images along with the premiere dates.
The series returns this summer with Season 2 split into two parts — Part 1 drops August 6, and Part 2 follows on September 3. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday Addams, and she’s not coming alone.
Watch the trailer below.

New Year, New Addams
Season 2 expands on more than just the mysteries. Wednesday’s younger brother, Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez), joins her at Nevermore Academy, while their parents Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán) take on larger roles. For Wednesday, that means more interference — and less room to breathe.

Tim Burton is back as director and executive producer. Ortega, now also a producer, says revisiting the role has been both “fun” and “strange” — fitting for a character like Wednesday.
“The most exciting thing is being able to revisit her,” Ortega told Netflix’ Tudum. “Wednesday Addams is one of the coolest characters of all time, so to have gotten the opportunity to play her once was incredible, and then to be able to slip into the costume and tone again, it’s so much fun. She runs circles around everyone that she has a conversation with, so to play someone who’s so much more intelligent than you will ever be, it’s quite funny and strange and enjoyable.”

Familiar Faces and First Looks
Expect to see more from supporting characters. Enid (Emma Myers), Bianca (Joy Sunday), and Tyler (Hunter Doohan) all return. Even Thing and Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen) are back. Meanwhile, Season 2 introduces a fresh cast of characters and settings.

Joanna Lumley plays Hester Frump, Morticia’s mother and Wednesday’s unexpected ally. Steve Buscemi steps in as Principal Barry Dort, filling the void left by Weems’ Season 1 exit.
“I’ve always been a fan of the Addams family — the movies, the TV show, and I was a big fan of Wednesday, so I was very excited to know that they were interested in me to play the new principal of Nevermore,” said Buscemi. “Barry Dort is a bit of a mysterious figure. Something about him is not right, but he loves the school and he has real outcast pride.”

Wednesday Isn’t in Control This Time
Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar hint that Wednesday’s confidence may be misplaced. She returns to Nevermore thinking she knows what’s coming — she doesn’t. “Nothing is what it seems,” Millar says. “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly. But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”

Pugsley’s Powers and Wednesday’s Enemies
This season, Pugsley begins to tap into his own powers — and he’s still finding his place among the outcasts. As for Tyler, last season’s Hyde is back, and his reunion with Wednesday isn’t warm.
“Your family at school is the worst thing possible, isn’t it?” Tim Burton said. “I never wanted my parents to come to school. Wednesday is an even more extreme version of that. Poor Pugsley. He’s kind of an outcast among outcasts, so I feel for him. He comes into Nevermore for the first time, so we get to see his experience at school. Everybody has their own specialty power, and he’s new to his own. He’s just exploring his newfound teenage powers.”

Romance, Tension, and Tango
Wednesday’s complicated relationship with her mother Morticia continues to be a major focus. The teaser even shows Morticia and Gomez sharing a dramatic tango on campus — a callback to their intense, over-the-top romance that only adds to Wednesday’s annoyance.

When and Where to Watch
Wednesday Season 2 premieres August 6 (Part 1) and September 3 (Part 2), only on Netflix. If you haven’t caught up, Season 1 is still available to stream.
