Morbius Teases Venom and Spider-Man Clone Saga

Similar to Spider-Man, Morbius also apparently teases Venom and possibly the Clone Saga from the comics.

A set image has surfaced online where graffiti art features a Venom drawing and text along with “Kane,” which may be a reference to the first failed Spider-Man clone created by Jackal, Kaine Parker.

The image can be viewed on Reddit.

Tom Hardy plays Venom, with the sequel getting released after Morbius, on Oct 2, so maybe down the road, there are plans to connect all the characters.

In the comics, Kaine Parker (pictured below) is both an ally and a foe of Spider-Man at times, has been the Scarlet Spider, and unlike Peter Parker, Kaine actually has a pre-cog ability that enables him to see flashes of the future and Kaine has the “Mark of Kaine,” a burning touch that can leave his handprints on enemy faces. Eventually, the Jackal would go on to create a better clone with Ben Reilly.

Morbius to have Spider-Man Easter Eggs

Recall the Morbius trailer also features graffiti art of Spider-Man, in what looks to be the Toby Maguire costume from Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 video game.

Set pics have also shown “Where Is Spider-Man?” advertisements on NYC buses in the movie which also teases the blog of J.Jonah Jameson, the Daily Bugle.

Regarding whether or not we will actually see any of these characters in the movie is unknown, but I am guessing the graffiti art is just an Easter Egg for fans, as the film will be standalone and build up the Jared Leto Morbius character.

Of course, there could always be a post-credit scene featuring any of the characters to further cement the Sony Spider-Man spinoff universe, so keep an eye out for that.

Morbius is directed by Daniel Espinosa also starring Adria Arjona, Tyrese Gibson and Matt Smith.

Update: Morbius has been delayed due to coronavirus.
