Just when you think the MCU couldn’t get any worse, a look at MODOK leaks online from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and it’s embarrassingly awful.
When I first saw the image, I thought it was a bad photoshop job done on purpose by a DC fan, but apparently, MODOK has leaked online and the images are legit.
The bad CGI also corroborates reports surrounding Marvel regarding their problems with special effects artists who have been complaining about the pay and work conditions. I’ll tell you what, I definitely wouldn’t want my name associated with this.
Well, it seems Marvel got around all that by having a producer’s relative who happens to be an unpaid intern come up with the “CGI” for MODOK, right? Because it’s so bad there can’t be any other reason.
I’m pretty much speechless and all I can do is laugh, again it’s just so unbelievably bad. I mean 15 years ago saw the first Iron Man released and the special effects were light years ahead of this.
Does Kevin Feige even care anymore? Does anyone at Marvel or Disney?
Recall, Feige also came up with that awful design for Skaar in She-Hulk but at least that was a Disney Plus show so that can in part be blamed for having low-budget special effects, but this is an “MCU” movie we are talking about, here.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is also kicking off Phase 5 where Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror is the new big MCU villain, even described as a bigger threat than Thanos (who had great CGI): “KANG THE CONQUEROR is quite possibly the biggest threat the MCU has ever encountered, with multiple versions of the villain—each more terrifying than the last.”
And this is what we get? Again, wow! This is just shocking.
I’d love for the shill media to actually question Feige, Disney, and Marvel why the quality has dipped so much from Phases 1-3 to Phase 4, and now Phase 5. I assume if they asked any hard questions they wouldn’t be allowed any more interviews, so there ya go.
Check out the MODOK reactions below.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens Thursday with advanced previews and officially on Friday where it has the second-lowest Rotten Tomatoes Score.
I’ve been questioned about the score having meaning compared to higher scores where I replied if the shill media says it’s bad, then it must be really bad. They can’t even contain this one! See below!
And as noted in the reactions below, the failed Marvel Avengers video game that had questionable art did MODOK a lot better! Again, speechless!!!
MODOK reactions in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania:
I mean, let’s be honest, did anyone really expect MODOK to look good? He’s meant to be a ridiculous character

Not that I’m defending the movie, but still https://t.co/f7rKRd1Oda
That moment when you see #MODOK trending and you remember the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Tales of Suspense #93 (September, 1967.) pic.twitter.com/efFyi0HEqB

"Do you hate it because he looks ugly?"
— Spider Kaiju (@Spiders_Might) February 15, 2023
Nah I hate it because it's the opposite, I expected the MCU to give him the ugliest face imaginable, but instead they just cgi a dude's face and head on MODOK's body and called it a day
In a way, he's ugly……but in a bad way pic.twitter.com/GHrakW3psd
Ant Man 3's SFX are so embarrassing but MCU stans somehow think MODOK looks good in the movie.

The failed Avengers game did a better representation of MODOK than a major movie backed by Disney. pic.twitter.com/Vgsq2B5edq
Did they design the armor and then get bored or something? Run out of money? Why is modok's face boring lmao MODOKS FACE pic.twitter.com/CNVNpDgNnM
