Matthew Vaughn Wants To Direct Fantastic Four

Matthew Vaughn Wants To Direct Fantastic Four

Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn might just fly in to save the day for all the recent superhero films that didn’t exactly please the fans.

Following Matthew Vaughn stating he would like to direct a Superman Man of Steel 2 movie, now Matthew Vaughn offers up he would like to fix Fantastic Four, as he fills in Cinema Blend:

“The other one I’ve felt an obligation to do is, I wouldn’t mind maybe making a Fantastic Four film to apologize to everyone out there that maybe it didn’t go very well for them. It’s brilliant. One of my favorites is the Fantastic Four, so maybe one day I’ll try and rectify the mistake.”

Matthew Vaughn was actually a producer on the recent 2015 Fantastic Four film, which is why he mentions an apology. Obviously, Matthew Vaughn didn’t have a lot of creative control on the Fanatic Four flop, which tanked at the box office with not even a $168 million worldwide gross at the box office.

Matthew Vaughn on Fantastic Four would probably be pretty awesome, and I’m guessing he would want to use Galactus and the Silver Surfer. Add in Annihilus, too!

Matthe Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle gets released Friday.
