Itâs not as if we didnât know, but the former writer on Thor, Matt Fraction, comes out and admits that the Marvel Studios plans for their movies has a hand in the direction of the comic books.
And if you read Fractionâs Thor, it explains a lot, and probably a lot of other books as well.
No offense, Matt â loved the initial few issues â but it seemed to go downhill.
Now we know why.
MTV posted a promotional video featuring Jason Aaron and Marvel EIC Axel Alonso on Aaronâs new Thor: God Of Thunder Marvel NOW! comic book.
Aaron mentions how he has a huge pile of Thor comics to read to study up on the character, with Alonso saying how different Aaronâs direction on Thor is compared to Fractionâs.
Then it cuts to Fraction who says that whatâs nice for Aaron is that he doesnât have any movie guidelines to follow.
âWhen I got the book, there was a Thor movie coming and there were these kind of guidelines that I had to execute under and Jasonâs got none of that,â Fraction said. âSo itâs just kind of pure Jason coming out in the page.â
This might also explain why Aaronâs Thor is being so well-received by critics and fans alike as Aaron isnât hindered by a set of directions.
Check it our for yourself below, and regarding no guidelines for Jason Aaron with Thor 2 coming out, weâre not exactly so sure about that (Editorâs note: link to a sleeveless Thor image has been removed).
