The Masters of the Universe hype continues to build as Amazon MGM and Mattel rolled out two iconic weapons from the upcoming film at Comic-Con, He-Man’s Power Sword and Skeletor’s Havoc Staff.
Displayed in dramatic fashion under glowing red and purple lights, the props were showcased with detailed production notes, offering fans their first up-close look at the film’s practical design and craftsmanship.

Power Sword and Havoc Staff Unveiled
The Power Sword is described as “Eternia’s ultimate symbol of might,” with a flexible polyurethane skin, carbon fiber rod core, and “Flex-Foam X” grip to give it a weathered, battle-worn appearance.
According to the placard, the sword is “as unbreakable as the heroes who wield it” and “said to summon the very power of Grayskull itself.”

On the other side of the display, Skeletor’s Havoc Staff looks just as menacing, topped with a ram skull and twisted horns.
Designed to radiate “dark energy and masterful craftsmanship,” the staff was built with various resins and polyurethanes to give it a realistic yet mythic look. The spine and neck were even water-jetted for durability — “strong enough to survive a clash with He-Man himself.”
Both props were designed by Production Designer Guy Hendrix Dyas, known for Inception, Passengers, and X-Men: Apocalypse.

Alison Brie on the Film’s Tone
Also, actress Alison Brie, who plays Evil Lyn, pushed back on rumors that the film takes a dark, gritty direction. When Collider asked her about the alleged “more serious” tone, Brie responded bluntly, hinting the flick could be on the goofier side:
“Who said it’s leaning a little more serious? I don’t think they know as much as they think they know. That’s all I’m gonna say.”
Her response seems to suggest that while the movie may have scale and stakes, it’s not abandoning the fun or fantasy aspects fans expect from Masters of the Universe.
The official logo has also been revealed, and filming has wrapped; the next step will likely be a full trailer release, possibly in the fall.
