Margaret Qualley as Rogue? MCU X-Men Casting Rumor Explained

Is Margaret Qualley joining the MCU as Rogue? A new rumor suggests Marvel Studios is eyeing the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star for the X-Men reboot. Check out other X-Men casting rumors here.

The rumor comes via Jeff Sneider who says he doesn’t really know what’s going on – if the X-Men will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, Secret Wars, etc. – but Sneider references an article from EW.com that says Marvel is going to start to sprinkle the X-Men into the MCU. Kevin Feige has confirmed the new age of mutants will follow Secret Wars.

Margaret Qualley as Rogue? What Jeff Sneider Said

While Sneider doesn’t know specifically what Marvel has planned for the X-Men, he says that names have been surfacing regarding casting the team of mutants.

“Another name has surfaced on the X-Men front. Someone who just signed on to a Disney/20th Century Studios movie. Miss Margaret Qualley,” said Sneider.

Sneider continues and thinks Margaret Qualley, who recently starred in The Substance, is among the young Hollywood stars that Marvel is looking at for the X-Men.

Anna Paquin played Rogue in the X-Men movies, and Rogue is popular in the X-Men and X-Men ’97 animated series voiced by Lenore Zann.

Margaret Qualley, 30, is an Emmy-nominated actress known for Maid, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and The Leftovers. She has gained critical acclaim for her performances and is now rumored to be in the running to play Rogue in Marvel’s X-Men reboot. With her upcoming role in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2, she continues to be a rising star in Hollywood.
