It is reported that Luke Perry suffered a massive stroke on Wednesday and that he is currently hospitalized.
TMZ reports paramedics responded to the home of Luke Perry, who is known for Riverdale and 90210, around 9:40 am Wednesday with the fire department responding to a call for someone suffering from a stroke.
The site initially reported doctors placed the 52-year-old actor in a medically induced coma, but according to Perry's rep that didn't happen and he is sedated. It's further said when paramedics arrived at his home he was responsive and talking but his condition deteriorated and he was rushed to the hospital.
Perry has been filming episodes of Riverdale which sees him play Archie's dad, Fred Andrews.
The news of Luke Perry suffering a stroke follows Fox recently announcing that 90210 is getting revived with the most of original stars coming back. Only Perry and Shannen Doherty are currently absent from the cast list, but according to reports, the door is still wide open for them to return. Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling are all returning.
Here is a description for the new 90210 series: “The core cast will all play heightened versions of themselves in a brand-new serialized drama — with a healthy dose of irreverence – that is inspired by their real lives and relationships. Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it’s time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast — whom the whole world watched grow up together — attempts to continue from where they left off?”
