Kraven The Hunter Release Date Pushed Back To December

Sony announces updated release dates for four movies including the new Karate Kid.

As part of Sony announcing new release dates, the Sony Marvel Kraven the Hunter Spider-Man spinoff movie starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson sees its release date pushed back to December 13.

The flick was originally slated to be released on August 30, 2024.

Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film. The film is directed by J.C. Chandor and also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe.

Sony Marvel also has Venom: The Last Dance coming out on Oct. 25.

Additional Sony release date changes include the new Karate Kid movie which teams Jackie Chan with Ralph Macchio.

Karate Kid now gets released on May 30, 2025.

Ralph Macchio will be back as Daniel LaRusso, with Jackie Chan back as Mr. Han, who played the Kung Fu master in the 2010 movie starring Jaden Smith. The film will mark a continuation of the mythology of the original franchise bringing the story to the East Coast and focusing on a teen from China who finds strength and direction via martial arts and a tough but wise mentor. Jonathan Entwistle is directing from a script by Rob Lieber, with Karen Rosenfelt producing.

Additional Sony release dates:

They Listen takes over the previous release date held by Kraven, with Aug. 30.

Animal Friends gets an Aug. 15, 2025 release date.
