A new Jurassic World 2 set image is released as director JA Bayona took to Twitter to tease the puppeteers working on the movie.
“11 puppeteers working under our feet giving life to a dinosaur. Great work!” Bayona tweeted.
With Jurassic World 2 using almost a dozen puppeteers for one of their dinosaurs, you know what that means? Yep. Less CGI digital effects and more practical effects, which is always a good thing.
Below you can also take a look at the first look image for Jurassic World 2 that was recently released as filming is underway.
The untitled sequel to Jurassic World sees Chris Pratt returning as Owen, with Bryce Dallas Howard back as Claire. Original Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow co-writing the script with Derek Connolly.
No major plot ponts for Jurassic World 2 are known, but Trevorrow did state it’s going to be scarier, with it speculated the dinosaurs might be weaponized for war.
“It will be more suspenseful and scary. It’s just the way it’s designed; it’s the way the story plays out. I knew I wanted Bayona to direct it long before anyone ever heard that was a possibility, so the whole thing was just built around his skill set,” Trevorrow said a while back in an interview with Jurassic Outpost.
Jurassic World 2 has a June 22, 2018 release.
