J.R. Ramirez Joins Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2

Marvel TV announces J.R. Ramirez has joined the cast of Netflix’s Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 2.

J.R. Ramirez, known for the Starz series Power, has been cast a series regular and plays Oscar, a devoted single father who moves into Jessica’s building as the new superintendent. While his young son becomes enamored with Jessica and her powers, Oscar keeps his distance, worrying about the trouble that follows people like her.

“J.R. is an incredible addition to our cast, bringing complex and subtle emotion and humor,” Marvel’s Jessica Jones series Creator and Executive Producer, Melissa Rosenberg, said in a statement. “He exudes warmth, edge and intelligence, and blends perfectly with our tone.”

A premiere date for Jessica Jones Season 2 has yet to be announced.

Krysten Ritter can next be seen as Jessica Jones in Marvel’s Defenders on Netflix when its released August 18th.
