Jennifer Garner Says “Let’s Go To Michigan!” With Ben Affleck For Batman/Superman

While not an official comment from Ben Affleck himself, the actor’s wife, actress Jennifer Garner, offers her enthusiasm for her husband taking on the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel.

She tells ET Canada that they decided to take the role together, as they are a husband and wife team.

I’m excited about Batman, of course,” Garner told ET Canada’s Roz Weston. “Everything we do, we look at it together, and  we say, ‘Can we handle this? Can we take this?’ And this was one where we were like, ‘Let’s go to Michigan!

Regarding Michigan, it’s been officially announced that the Batman/Superman movie will be filming there and in parts of Detroit. Current speculation is that Detroit will be the location for Gotham City and the Batcave.

Ben Affleck has yet to comment on being Batman, but the actor was spotted coming out of the gym where he has been participating in daily two-hour workouts to prepare for the role.

The sequel to “Man of Steel” goes into production next year for a July 17, 2015 release also starring Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
