Jared Leto Morbius Leaks Online Ahead Of Trailer

An apparent first look image at Jared Leto as Morbius the Living Vampire has leaked online ahead of the new trailer.

The image posted to social media, as seen below, looks straight out the Marvel Spider-Man comic books.

Jared Leto can be seen with long black hair, a white face, facial hair, and with fangs and sharp pointed teeth.

In the comics, Morbius isn’t a regular vampire, but Dr. Michael Morbius has a rare blood disease that he attempts to cure using vampire bat DNA and electroshock therapy which leads to him becoming “The Living Vampire.”

Morbius is a Spider-Man villain and at times a friend to the Wall Crawler in the comics, but it remains to be seen if the MCU version of Spider-Man will connect, as the Morbius movie comes from Sony. Similar to their recent Venom movie, it could be possible that Sony goes a different route in the films than in the comics, though there is some rumor of J.K. Simmons and Tom Holland possibly appearing in Morbius as well as Venom 2.

Jared Leto most recently played Joker in Suicide Squad, but it’s thought he is done with the DC role, as recently saw Harley Quinn actress Margot Robbie confirm Joker won’t be appearing in the upcoming Birds of Prey flick.

Regarding the Morbius trailer, it’s rumored to get released on Monday.

If the below Jared Leto Morbius leaked image is anything to go by, the flick looks like it’s in pretty decent hands.

Update: A second image leaks featuring Spider-Man.

The film has a July 31, 2020 release date directed by Daniel Espinosa.
