Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director James Gunn offers updates via his official Facebook page.
Apparently as a result of Gunn posting a pic of himself with a prop from the previous Tron movie, some fans online thought that it meant James Gunn is directing Tron 3. Well, that’s not the case as Gunn offers the following in a Facebook post.
If I would have to guess, I might guess that James Gunn is in talks to direct a DC movie, maybe Shazam starring Dwayne Johnson? The live-action Justice League Dark movie might not be a bad fit for Gunn either.
Gunn also posted a behind-the-scenes look at the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie with a comparison of the actors and their stand-ins. See below.
Here’s what Gunn offered about Tron:
The other day I posted a photo of myself and my friend Jimmy Urine posing with the Tron cycle in our Guardians of the Galaxy boardroom. Increasingly over the past few days I have been getting more and more messages and tweets asking if I am involved in a Tron sequel, which exploded today after a few articles like the one below (which claims I talked about having once been involved with a Tron sequel on a FB live session… which never was, and never happened).
No, I am not doing a Tron movie. I was simply taking a photo with a cool prop. We also have a Rocketeer mask displayed in our offices; I am not doing a Rocketeer movie either. I once rode Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree, and I am not doing a Cars sequel. And, so I don’t fail to mention it, in 2007 I attended a party where Pauly Shore was, and am also not attached to Encino Man 2.
Have a wonderful evening, all.

Who wore it better? The Guardians or our intrepid stand-ins on #GotG Vol. 1?
Well, whatever the case, ALL of these folks are awesome. We couldn’t have been any luckier with amazing casts and crews on both films.
