Sorry DCEU fans it looks as if its #RIPSuicideSquad, as what has so far been shown from the James Gunn The Suicide Squad movie comes off goofy as heck!
Following the goofy costumes reveal, now James Gunn takes to social media to reveal an even goofier video featuring himself with his dog.
"A very important screen test with my pal @georgiegirlthepom on the set of #TheSuicideSquad. PS Georgie told me she loves me much more than @tomholland2013. Sorry, Tom!!" Gunn posted on Instagram.
Nathan Fillion also added in the comments, "There’s nothing that lowers my heart rate like having Georgie on my lap while getting makeup done. Invaluable asset to Suicide Squad 2."
Similar to the goofy Guardians of the Galaxy 2 song by David Hasselhoff, this video also features out-of-place music.
Who knows? Maybe James Gunn is really tricking us all and his version of Suicide Squad will be pretty epic. DC insiders did fill me in at Comic-Con that Gunn's Suicide Squad will be awesome and bad a-- and that both fans of DC and Marvel will be happy. So far, it only seems as if this would make Feige's zombie audience salivate.
I suppose the good news, at least for me, is that I'm not a big fan of the Suicide Squad comics, so Gunn's apparent bastardized and parodic approach won't upset me too much the way it did for Guardians of the Galaxy. I wonder if this is why Will Smith isn't doing the flick?
Will James Gunn's Suicide Squad be epic or goofy?
