A recent DCU rumor hit the net offering that a live-action adaptation of Justice League: The New Frontier is happening being written and directed by James Gunn.
Justice League: The New Frontier is an animated movie released in 2008, based on the DC Comics limited series DC: The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke. Set during the Cold War era, the film showcases the origin story of the Justice League as they unite against a powerful cosmic entity known as “The Centre,” which threatens to destroy humanity.

Regarding the rumor, Gunn responded to a fan on Threads questioning if the rumor is real.
Gunn replied, “Nope sorry. No truth to this whatsoever.”
Gunn hasn’t confirmed the Justice League for his new DCU, but fans are thinking he is using a version of the Justice League International in his Superman movie.
