James Gunn Shoots Down Mr. Freeze Movie Rumor

A recent rumor has claimed that a Mr. Freeze movie is happening, but it’s not true.

A listing surfaced on Production Weekly for an apparent Mr. Freeze movie and then some sites and Reddit ran with it. However, it’s not true (I didn’t bother posting about it).

A fan questioned the co-head of DC studios on Threads, James Gunn, about the rumor, to which Gunn said it isn’t true.

“It’s not a bad idea, so I wouldn’t say never but no there’s no truth to it at all,” replied Gunn.

Gunn did happen to say some of the more recent rumors are true, which we can guess are probably about the Lanterns series, which is said to have casted Kyle Chandler a Hal Jordan, with names rumored for John Stewart.

“Some of them are true, some are partially true, and some aren’t true at all. If it’s fun for you to follow the unknowns, follow them, but don’t trust anything completely until you hear it from me or Peter (who is not online despite me seeing him tagged in stuff.),” Gunn said.

Recently did see the report about a Batman villains movie happening with Bane and Deathstroke. Fans are actually thinking Mr. Freeze might be the villain of Matt Reeves’s The Batman 2. But nope, no Mr. Freeze movie.
