James Gunn’s Batman Comments Make No Sense: Just Ask ‘Superman & Lois’

James Gunn’s Batman Comments Make No Sense: Just Ask ‘Superman & Lois’

James Gunn once again opens his mouth when maybe it would have been better not to say anything, but, hey, that’s James Gunn for you.

The latest is regarding his recent comments about having two Batman characters around, which don’t add up in relation to his Superman.

So Gunn is saying you can have two Batman characters around, but not two Superman characters? What’s really going on is that you can have two Batman characters around when one of them made more money than your own movie.

Superman & Lois TV canceled with Gunn’s DCU announcement

To put things in context, the Superman & Lois TV series was canceled exactly when James Gunn took over the DCU and announced his own Superman movie.

Those involved with Superman & Lois said it was supposed to go on for multiple seasons, but they got canceled for some reason. Well, we all know the reason.

What did James Gunn say?

So now while talking with Brandon Davis, Gunn comments on there being two Batman characters around – with Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s version and his own in Brave and the Bold – saying that people won’t get confused:

“You know, one of the weirdest things for me is that big fans are often like, ‘Well, listen, I understand this, but normies will never understand this. Casuals will never understand this.’ But the truth is, guys, that you’re the ones that don’t understand. The casuals always understand.”

Make it make sense

Again, this seems like more James Gunn nonsense. Gunn defends having two Batmans at the same time while canceling Superman & Lois? I’d bet you a million dollars Gunn would cancel Reeves’ stuff if he could in order to do his own version.

It’s well known that Gunn wants Pattinson as the DCU Batman, but according to reports, Matt Reeves is against the idea. Well, after watching Gunn’s Creature Commandos, Superman, and Peacemaker, can you blame Reeves? Just imagine what Gunn’s Batman is going to be like.

From what I have been told, there is already concern. The question is, will Gunn have enough time to get to his goofy Batman off the ground before WBD is sold???
