Iron Fist Getting Slammed At Rotten Tomatoes

Marvel’s Iron Fist is officially rotten at the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.

With 44 reviews, Marvel’s Iron Fist comes in at a paltry 16%; however, 86% of fans have stated they liked it.

The rotten rating for Marvel’s Iron Fist is actually the first rotten anything from Marvel, whether it be Marvel Studios or Marvel TV.

The Marvel Netflix shows have a good track record at Rotten Tomatoes with Daredevil coming in fresh at 87%, Jessica Jones with 93%, and Luke Cage at 96%. Even ABC’s Agents of SHIELD comes in at a whopping 95% (which is hard to take seriously).

Regarding why Iron Fist performed so poorly, it’s been said the fight scenes are bad, the story is bad, the music is bad. I haven’t watched Iron Fist myself, but that seems to be pretty much the norm for all of the Marvel TV shows, IMO.

We can further speculate that reviewers chose to give Iron Fist a negative review because of the target it has on its back with Finn Jones and Danny Rand being white. It’s no secret most of the media is liberally slanted, so with Iron Fist choosing not to go the PC-route with an Asian actor, it’s probably safe to assume a lot of these reviewers attacked the show just for that fact.

I’m not a fan of any of the Marvel TV Netflix shows, but can Iron Fist be that bad compared to the rest?

And if Iron Fist is that bad, what’s that mean for the Inhumans series, which has the same showrunner with Scott Buck?

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” is now streaming in its entirety on Netflix.
