Infinity War, Black Panther Advance For Oscars Nominations

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced twenty movies that will advance in this year’s Oscar race for Best Visual Effects.

The list includes Marvel’s The Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp; Disney has Han Solo, Incredibles 2, Christoper Robin, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, the upcoming Mary Poppins Returns; DC has Aquaman, the Transformers Bumblebee movie, and more.

The list will eventually be narrowed down to ten later this month and then five for the final nominees.

The 91st Oscars will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and will be televised live on The ABC Television Network. The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
