Henry Cavill takes to social media to tease a “boss” Witcher as he is presently recording dialogue for the Netflix series which sees him star as Geralt of Rivia, the solitary monster hunter.
“Just finished some ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) for The Witcher and had the good fortune to wear my special ADR sunglasses (not true) which are from BOSS Eyewear (totally true). If you look closely you might see some secret details from the show in the reflection…..or you might just see my phone. Which means double me, which may, or may not, be a good thing #BOSSEyewear @BOSS #TheWitcher,” Cavill posted.
Henry Cavill plays Geralt in The Witcher
The Witcher, based on the best-selling book series, is described as epic tale of fate and family which sees Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia struggling to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts, but when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
The first footage dropped at the recent San Diego Comic-Con which showed Henry Cavill in action as Geralt uses his trusty sword to fight off both humans and monsters.
“The worst monsters are the ones we create,” the trailer teases. Watch below.
It was also revealed at Comic-Con that Henry Cavill beat out 206 actors for the part. He said about wanting the role: “I was very passionate about the games and played them a lot, and I always said I hoped they made them into a movie.
