Helldivers 2 Killzone Controversy: Too Pricey? Super Credits Are FREE!

Helldivers! It is critical you pay attention at this time!!!

Recently has seen a collab between Helldivers 2 and Killzone (I want a collab with The Mandalorian and Marvel’s Nova!) stir up controversy, as apparently some players are complaining about the price (yeah, you, Reddit!).

Well, last I checked, you can get the in-game currency – the super credits – for FREE while simply playing the game. I’ve actually been able to purchase most of my Warbonds with FREE super credits while finding them in the game.

Update: I’m getting responses where the free credits aren’t as easy to find and get anymore. As I go over below, the game shouldn’t even be giving out free in-game-currency.

Update #2: In response to the complaints, Arrowhead is giving players the second wave of the Helldivers x Killzone collaboration items for free.

Killzone crossover now live

So as of December 18, a Killzone “crossover” went live in the Helldivers 2 store. Let’s be honest, you’re most likely not going to “buy” the worthless banner, cape and player title. I’m not.

The Illuminate update just hit, so you might be looking for a better gun. I know I sure as f’k am! So for 600 super credits you can get the StA-52 Assault Rifle. Well, I bought it, again, with FREE super credits I found in the game. And just like most of the guns in Helldivers 2, it isn’t all that good.

So far, I’ve found the machine gun the best weapon to use against the Illuminates. Yeah, it sucks it takes up a slot, but I pair it with the Punisher Plasma, which is basically a grenade launcher. The combo works well for me. I also stack it with the machine gun turret, the rocket cannon, and or the gatling turret. I also like the 500kg bombs. The quasar cannon SUCKS.

My TWO biggest gripes:

Needs better guns

My two biggest gripes of the game are that the guns suck and also there haven’t been many updates. It’s already been a year and we’re finally getting the Illuminates and a vehicle.

How about this? We’ve been battling the Automatons for a while now, right. Why don’t the scientists reverse engineer and design weapons from their lasers?! Give me a mofo laser machine gun, please!!! With infinite ammo (lol)!!!

Needs a monthly Battle Pass

And hear my out: Helldivers 2 needs a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION BATTLE PASS. Why? This is just my thinking, but following the initial purchase of the game, what incentive does Arrowhead  have to put out new content? Again, you can get FREE super credits while playing the game. It’s like they are shooting themselves in the foot. I almost feel as if Arrowhead  doesn’t have a budget to put out new content.

Now imagine if Helldivers 2 has a Battle Pass like Fortnite and such. Cha-ching! I love Helldivers 2 and wouldn’t have a problem forking out eight, nine, heck, I’d pay $20 bucks a month if it meant the company would give us some cool updates more often! And just maybe it would fix those dang glitches!!!

So stop your complaining and suit up! Super credits can be found in the “minor points of interest” locations scattered throughout the maps.  -Cosmic Book News, level 101 Helldiver
