It looks as if the HBO Watchmen series has begun production.
Damon Lindeloff, who is developing the series for HBO, posted on Instagram the following image of a statue from the comic adding “Day One.”
News of the HBO Watchmen TV series first became known back in June, and back in April actually saw rumor of a Watchmen project being developed as apparently WB conducted a survey asking fans if they would be interested in an R-rated Watchmen series.
Zack Snyder directed the Watchmen movie back in 2009, which is based on the 1985 Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons graphic novel. Damon Lindeloff’s Watchmen TV series at HBO would be independent of the movie and something new.
Watchmen features the characters Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, Comedian, Rorschach, Ozymandias, and Dr. Manhattan.
