Elon Musk Calls Out Amazon’s Jeff Bezos Over Twitch Host Hasan Piker

Elon Musk has once again entered the conversation around political violence in gaming and streaming communities.

Following his criticism of Microsoft for Blizzard developer comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Musk is now calling out Amazon owner Jeff Bezos over Twitch’s handling of left-wing streamer Hasan Piker.

Update: Musk has also called out Destiny.

Musk’s Post

On X, Musk responded to a viral video that compiled a series of Hasan Piker’s violent remarks during streams. The clip, circulated by creator Tectone, highlighted Piker using rhetoric such as:

  • “You need to be show your opponents guts on there, you need to be gutting them… shanking these m-fers.”
  • “Slice them up, slice them and f-ing dice them.”
  • “Let the streets soak in their red capitalist bloods, dude.”
  • “Kill Rick Scott.”
  • “Someone has to do it.” (referencing Donald Trump)

The video ended with calls for Twitch to permanently ban Piker from the platform.

Musk reposted the thread, tagging Bezos directly: “What’s up here @JeffBezos?”

Pressure on Twitch

Musk’s comment comes amid growing pressure on Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, to act against its top streamer. Users, including other streamers, have accused the platform of selectively enforcing rules and allowing Piker to operate with impunity despite repeated calls for violence.

One post gaining traction came from X user Savvy, who wrote: “A quiet ban would not be enough for me. @djclancy999 needs to step down. @twitch needs to issue a statement acknowledging they do not enforce rules evenly and will clean up moderation team. A full 3rd party investigation should be done on internal communications.”

Who is Hasan Piker?

Hasan Piker, known online as HasanAbi, is a left-wing Twitch streamer and political commentator.

He had been scheduled to debate Charlie Kirk on Sept. 25 at Dartmouth College about issues facing young voters.

While claiming to be horrified, Piker argued that Kirk’s death reflected America’s gun laws, inequality, and culture of violence, turning the murder of someone he personally knew into a broader indictment of U.S. society.
