Hans Zimmer Done With Super Hero Movies Following Batman Vs. Superman

That’s all she wrote for notable composer Hans Zimmer and super hero movies.

Following a collaboration with Junkie XL on Batman Vs. Superman, Hans Zimmer tells the BBC he is retiring from doing any more comic book movies.

“I did Batman Begins with Chris [Nolan] 12 years ago, so The Dark Knight Trilogy might be three movies to you, to me it was 11 years of my life, Then I did [Man of Steel]. Then I did this one.” he said. “How am I supposed to say it? I have officially retired from the super hero business. This one was very hard for me to do, to try to find new language.”

Zimmer also disagreed with the notion that Steven Spielberg suggested the comic book movie genre will go the way of the Western eventually, which is disappear.
