What is Halo about?

In Season 2 of Halo, Master Chief John-117, played by Pablo Schreiber, leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. Following a shocking event on a desolate planet, John is haunted by the belief that the war is on the brink of a drastic change. Determined to prove the imminent danger posed by the Covenant, he risks everything to uncover their plans to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy at stake, John embarks on a perilous journey to find the key to humanity’s salvation, or its ultimate doom — the Halo.

The series, led by showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, takes place in the expansive universe that first captured gamers’ imaginations with the launch of Xbox’s first Halo game in 2001. The show dramatizes an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and the alien threat known as the Covenant.

Alongside Schreiber, the series stars Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, and Danny Sapani. Both Schreiber and McElhone also serve as producers this season.
