For the first time, the Guardians of the Galaxy will meet up with The Avengers in Infinity War.
The featurette with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Tom Holland offered our first look (watch below).
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will follow The Avengers: Infinity War, and now it’s learned the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie will be affected by the events in Infinity War.
Sean Gunn, who plays both Kraglin and the stand-in for Rocket Raccoon, filled in Fan Fest that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in part depends on what goes down in The Avengers: Infinity War:
I know that James is being a little bit more patient this time around. Partially because some of what happens with the guardians is dependent on what happens with them in Infinity War. And even though my brother’s a producer on Infinity War, those movies aren’t finished yet so until we kind of see where everything lands there that’s going to have some bearing on what happens with the Guardians. So it’s a little bit of a wait and see but I’m sure there are a lot of ideas already in the works.
Interestingly enough, director James Gunn also let it be known that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will feature the last iteration of the current team of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and Groot. What follows is anybody’s guess.
