It’s once again being said that Gal Gadot and Wonder Woman will be appearing in the upcoming DCEU Flashpoint movie.
Following Forbes last month stating Wonder Woman will be appearing in Flashpoint, now in a report by Deadline that says Gal Gadot is in talks to join Bradley Cooper in MGM’s Deeper, it’s said Gal Gadot will reprise as Wonder Woman in the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel as well as the Justice League movie and the spinoff for The Flash.
The Forbes report also stated the Flashpoint movie may be another superhero team-up featuring several additional DC superheroes with a 2020 release date.
If you are not familiar with the DC Comics comic book storyline of “Flashpoint,” it features an alternate universe where Wonder Woman is at war with Aquaman, which has led to the near destruction of the Earth. Barry Allen went back in time to save his mother, which changed the timeline considerably, including a young Bruce Wayne being the one to die with his parents surviving and his father, Thomas Wayne, going on to become the Batman, and his mother, Martha Wayne, becoming the villain, the Joker. It’s a great story (read it on Amazon). I really liked the Superman story, too.
